Centre for Sustainable Watersheds (CSW) is committed to offering fresh ways to meet the challenges of engaging and helping shoreline owners across the country enhance and protect the health of their lakes and rivers.
Who should be concerned? What can be done to maintain this priceless resource? How can we find sustainable ways to work together across this vast country, which sorely lacks a cohesive and holistic approach to deal with the issues?
It is surely grassroots community groups that can make all the difference when it comes to championing water quality in Canada’s lakes. We are dedicated to building support for those volunteer-based organizations which provide critical leadership among the diversity of recreational users, who know and love their waterways best.
“We understand how much shoreline property owners love their lakes - be it a place to rest and relax; swim, fish, and play; or to enjoy nature. Whatever the reason, they are passionate about their waterfront! We want to ensure they are able to enjoy their lake for generations to come. CSW is committed to protecting
the health and well-being of one of our most precious natural
resources.” -- Barbara King, Executive Director
